Prayer updates for Wednesday, July 16, 2014

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

Update: Please pray for Kim Zeinstra as she leaves for Singapore on Thursday to begin her summer mission trip with CTI Music Ministries. Pray for safe travels and good health. Pray also for God to be with Kim as she and her team brings the message of Christ to the people of Singapore.

Please pray for Henrietta Kapenga as she is at Freedom Inn after spending some time in the hospital for some heart problems. We praise the Lord she is recovering well and pray for God to strengthen Henrietta in her time of need.

We praise the Lord for the news Kim Hossink shares that the biopsy results for two of the suspicious spots came back negative. Pray for Kim as she prepares for an MRI and biopsy on Wednesday to determine if cancer has spread to any other locations. Pray for more good results so that Kim can begin treatment for the breast cancer and make a full recovery.

We praise the Lord for the successful eye surgery that Wyatt Hamstra endured on Monday to address his ROP (Retinopathy of prematurity). Pray for Wyatt as he recovers in Detroit and for Sean and Katelyn as they continue to monitor Wyatt’s eyes for the next 6 months. Pray for God to be with the Hamstra family and for Wyatt to continue to grow healthy and strong.

We praise God for the news that the neck surgery Pastor Jonathan endured on Monday went very well. Pray for God to be with Pastor Jonathan so that he can make a full recovery. Pray especially for God to provide for the needs of Sara as she cares for the children while Pastor Jonathan recovers.

Please pray for Len Ericks as he prepares for an ultrasound and some further testing to be done for his kidneys on Friday. Pray for God to comfort Len in his time of anxiety and for the test results to come back saying there are no reasons for concern.

Please pray for Jim Gaunce as he endures daily radiation treatments and a weekly chemotherapy treatment for the next 6 weeks. Pray for God to give Jim strength to endure these treatments and for God to support Doris as she cares for Jim in his time of need.

Please pray for the Young Peoples as they are in Kentucky this week for a summer mission trip. Pray for safety and good health for the students and leaders, and for this trip to be a wonderful time of personal and spiritual growth.

Please pray for our Noordeloos students attending South Olive’s Bible Camp this week (4th-7th graders). Pray for our students to fall more in love with the Lord by learning about His love for us at Camp this week, July 19-22.

Update: Please pray for Henrietta Kapenga as she was transferred to Freedom Inn after spending time in the hospital for some heart problems. We praise the Lord she is recovering well and pray for God to strengthen Henrietta in her time of need.

Update: Please pray for Kim Hossink and her family as it was determined that her breast cancer is a little more extensive than it was thought at first. Pray for Kim and Terry as they wait for further biopsy results and as she prepares for an MRI this week. Pray for the peace of God to comfort and strengthen Kim and her family in this difficult time (Php 4:6-7).

Update: Please pray for Wyatt Hamstra, born prematurely to Sean and Katelyn Hamstra, as he endures laser eye surgery today to correct his ROP (Retinopathy of prematurity). We praise the Lord for the improvements Wyatt has made and pray for God’s presence to be with Sean, Katelyn and their families as they care for Wyatt in his time of need and for the surgery to cure his eye infection.

Update: Please pray for Pastor Jonathan as he has surgery on his neck today. Pray for the surgery to go as planned and for a quick recovery. Pray especially for God to provide for the needs of Sara as she cares for the children while Pastor Jonathan recovers.

We praise the Lord for Bernie and Yvonne Van Den Berg and the 61 years of marriage they celebrated on Monday. We give thanks for the love that they share. Pray for God to bless them with joyful celebrations this week.

Please pray for Henrietta Kapenga as she is at Holland hospital with heart problems. We praise the Lord for the good medical care she is receiving and pray for God to strengthen Henrietta in her time of need.

Please pray for Kim Hossink and her family as she has been diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer. We praise the Lord that the cancer was found in its early stages and that the doctors are optimistic that the cancer is contained. Pray for God to support Kim in the coming weeks as she endures testing and prepares for surgery. Pray for her treatment plan to eliminate the cancer that she has.

Please pray for Wyatt Hamstra, born prematurely to Sean and Katelyn Hamstra, as his test results came back revealing that his ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity) is more advanced than anticipated. Wyatt was transferred to Detroit and will receive injections to prepare him for laser eye surgery. Pray for God’s presence to be with Sean, Katelyn and their families as they care for Wyatt in his time of need and for the injections to go well.

Please pray for Len Ericks as he goes to the doctor in Grand Rapids today to have some testing done for his kidneys. Pray for God to comfort Len in his time of anxiety and for the test results to come back saying there are no reasons for concern.

Please pray for Jim Gaunce as he recovers from the radiation treatment he had yesterday for his bladder cancer. Pray for God to comfort Jim and Doris and to grant them strength in this difficult time.

Please pray for Pastor Matt and his family while they are on vacation this week. Pray for God to bless the Riddle family with rest and relaxation so that Pastor Matt can be re-energized to continue his work at Noordeloos Church.

On Sunday we gather for worship once again. On Sunday morning Pastor Matt will be leading us in worship and we will continue our series on the life of Abraham. His text is Genesis 15:1-21 and his sermon is titled The Promise Reaffirmed. We will also celebrate communion in the morning service. Pastor Jonathan will be leading us in worship in the evening service as we continue in our series on the 7 Letters to the churches in the book of Revelation. We will study the 5th letter written to the church in Sardis in Revelation 3:1-6. As we prepare to gather for worship pray that God will work in our hearts and lives so that we can be changed to be more like Christ.

Wyatt will need some injections in his eyes and will need surgery. Pray for Wyatt as he is transferred today from Grand Rapids to Detroit to begin his injection treatments. Pray for God’s presence to be with Sean, Katelyn and their families as they care for Wyatt in his time of need and for the injections to go well.

Please pray for Wyatt Hamstra, born prematurely to Sean and Katelyn Hamstra in April, as he is scheduled for eye surgery next Tuesday to address his ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity). Pray for Wyatt’s eyes to develop more completely this week and to remain healthy so that the risk of eye damage is minimized. Pray also for the surgery to go well on Tuesday.

Please pray for Kim Zeinstra as she is in Minnesota for the next two weeks training for her summer mission trip with CTI Music Ministries and as she will depart from there for four weeks of ministry in Singapore. Pray for safe travels, good health, and for God to work through Kim and her team in Singapore so that others may know the love of Christ.

We praise the Lord for the 80th birthday that Dick De Mol celebrated on Monday. We give thanks for the many years that God has given to Dick and pray for God to bless him this week.

Please pray for Ade Molendyk as he received his monthly IVIG infusion on Monday. Pray for God to give Ade strength and rest this week as recovers from the infusion and as he continues to battle his leukemia. Pray for God’s presence to be a continual comfort to Ade, Bea, and the entire Molendyk family.

Please keep Jim Gaunce prayer as he met with the doctor this week to prepare for 6 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy treatments, which will likely begin next week. Pray for God to be Jim and Doris as Jim endures these treatments and for the grace of Christ to comfort and sustain them in this time.

Prayer updates for Tuesday, July 1, 2014

Update:  Please pray for Wyatt Hamstra, born prematurely to Sean and Katelyn Hamstra in April, as an eye exam this morning revealed that he is in need of eye surgery due to ROP (Retinopathy of Prematurity).  The surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday.  Pray for Wyatt’s eyes to develop more completely this week and to remain healthy so that the risk of eye damage is minimized.  Pray also for the surgery to go well on Tuesday.
