Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.
Please pray for Josh Scholtens, Harv and Lisa’s son, as he leaves on Monday to begin service with the U.S. Navy. Pray for God to be with Josh as he endures the training and for his faith to sustain him throughout his time of service. Pray also for God’s peace to be with Harv and Lisa as they see Josh off next week.
Please pray for Beth Wallinga, daughter of Ken and Rose Swets, as she was diagnosed with stage IV cancer last week. Pray for God’s strength and healing for Beth as she begins radiation for this cancer, which has spread throughout her body, spinal chord, and brain. Pray also for God to be a refuge and strength for Ken and Rose as well as Beth’s husband and four children in this difficult time.
Please remember in prayer the Shut-ins at Noordeloos Church. Pray for God’s presence to be with them as many are homebound and unable to participate in the regular fellowship of the church. Pray for good health and for family members and friends to visit them regularly.
Please pray for the Young Peoples Retreat as they leave today for their weekend retreat at Cran-Hill Ranch. Pray for safety as they travel today and for it to be a great time of fellowship and spiritual growth in the lives of the students.
On Sunday we gather for worship. Pastor Matt will lead both morning and evening services. In the morning we will continue thinking about Comforting Words from the Psalms with the message titled From Danger to Security based on Psalm 121. In the evening continue our study of James with the message titled The Perseverance of Faith based on James 1:2-12. Pray for our hearts to be prepared to meet God in His Word and for the Spirit to deepen our trust in Christ.
