Prayer updates for Tuesday, July 14, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

Update: We celebrate with Nate and Amy Pyle in the birth of a baby boy, Luke Robert Pyle, who was born early Monday morning (6.11 lbs, 20 inches long). We praise God for a safe delivery and for the news that both mom and baby are doing well. Pray for the joy of the Lord to be with Nate and Amy as they give thanks to God for the addition of baby Luke to their family.

We express our Christian Sympathies to Elmer Van Der Kolk in the passing of his brother, John Van Der Kolk, who went home to be with Lord on Sunday, July 5. Pray for the peace of Christ to be with Elmer and his family in this sad time of loss.

We praise the Lord for the 90th birthday that Lena Hanegraaff will celebrate on Wednesday and the 87th birthday that Louise Ortman will celebrate on Thursday. We praise the Lord for the many good years that God has given to Lena and Louise and we pray for God to bless them with many birthday wishes from family and friends on their special day.

We praise the Lord for the safe return of Kim Zeinstra from her mission trip to Taiwan with CTI Music Ministries. We give thanks to God for the opportunity that Kim had to share the love of Christ through music and we pray that many lives will have been touched for the Gospel through the work that Kim and her team were able to do in Taiwan.

We praise the Lord for the news that Ward Van Dyke has returned to Oak Crest Assisted Living after being the in the hospital and rehab for the past few weeks. We praise the Lord for the work of healing he has done in Ward’s life and for sustaining Ward through the difficulties of the past few weeks. Pray for God to be with Ward as he transitions back to his room at Oak Crest.

Please pray for Rena Petroelje as her health continues to decline and as it seems that she may be preparing to meet with the Lord. Pray for God’s grace and strength to be with Rena and her family in this time need. Please remember Ken and Sharon Machiela in prayer as well as Sharon’s sisters as they spend time with Rena in the time that Lord has given to Rena.  Pray for the love of Christ to guide and comfort them in the days ahead.

Please pray for Kim Hossink as she will endure one final treatment on Wednesday for her breast cancer. We praise the Lord for being with Kim and strengthening her through a long year of cancer treatments. Pray for the treatments to have been effective to rid Kim’s body of the cancer so that she can make a full recovery and remain cancer free.
