Prayer updates for Thursday, November 23, 2017

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

Happy Thanksgiving!  Please pray for safe traveling mercies and good health in this Thanksgiving Weekend. As we gather a church for worship and in homes for fellowship on this Thanksgiving Day, pray for God to remind of the many blessings we have received from His loving hand. Pray also for the Holy Spirit to cultivate in us an attitude of thanksgiving that will continue on throughout the year.

Update: Please pray for Arie Versendaal as he remains at Holland Hospital being treated for pneumonia.  Arie was making a good recovery, but his condition worsened.  Arie is struggling to breathe and his kidneys are not functioning well.   Pray for God’s healing grace to be with Arie and for the antibiotics to be effective in clearing up the pneumonia and infection.  Pray for the Lord to surround Arie and his family in this time of need so that they might rest in Christ and his care.

Please pray for Fred Zeeff as he began radiation treatment on Monday for the cancer he has on his lung. Pray for God’s loving care to be an encouragement and strength for Fred and Edna and for the radiation to be effective in shrinking the tumor.

We praise the Lord for the 62nd wedding anniversary that Cal and Em Weener celebrated on Wednesday. We give thanks for the love that Cal and Em share and for the many years of marriage God has given to them. Pray for the Lord’s blessings to be on Cal and Em as they celebrate their anniversary and for God to be with them throughout the coming year.

We praise the Lord for the good report that Ade Molendyk shares that the chemotherapy seems to be working his blood counts are starting move in the right direction. Pray for the medication to continue to be effective in treating Ade’s leukemia.  Pray also for the grace of Christ to be with Ade and Bea in this time of need.

Please pray for our Snowbirds as they prepare to travel to the winter homes. Pray for God to provide safety in their travels and for God to bless them with good health this winter so that their time away will be enjoyable.

Please pray for the Homebound members at Noordeloos Church during this time changing seasons and as we prepare to begin of the holiday season. Pray for God be with those who are unable to attend worship because of sickness or mobility. Pray for God to grant them good health and bless them with visits from family and friends during this busy time of year.
