Prayer updates for Monday December 11, 2017

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

We express our Christian Sympathies to Ryan and Staci Visser and Ryan and Leah Ritsema in the passing of Staci and Ryan R’s grandmother, Norma Meeuwsen, who went home to be with the Lord last week. Please pray for the Lord to surround the family with His love and comfort them with the hope of Christ in this sad time of loss.

We praise the Lord for the birthday that Em Weener will celebrate on Friday. We give thanks for the many years God has given to Em and we pray for the Lord to bless her with His joy on her special day. We pray also for God to grant her good health in the year to come.

We praise the Lord for the wedding of Jon and Maryjo Visser, as they joined their lives in marriage on Friday, December 8.  We give thanks to God for this exciting time in Jon and Maryjo’s life and we pray for the Lord to bless them as they begin their new life together as husband and wife.

Update:  Please pray for Lena Hanegraaff as she was in the hospital last week because of a heart episode that caused her blood pressure and heart rate to drop.  Lena was released from the hospital and temporarily is back in her room at American House. The resent episode with her heart showed that Lena’s health is declining and it also seems to have progressed her memory troubles. Lena will likely be moving to a memory care unit in the next few weeks. Pray for God to give wisdom to the family as they try to find the best way to care for Lena. Pray also for the Lord to be with and comfort Lena in her declining mental and physical health.

Update:  We praise the Lord for the news that Kaylee Kouw shares that the MRI she endured last week shows no new growths or activity at the initial tumor site on her brain. The MRI did show one small enhancement in another location on the brain that the doctors will be monitoring with a follow-up MRI in six months. Pray for God to grant patience and peace to Kaylee and the Kouw family as they wait. Pray especially for the follow-up MRI to show no new growths and no reason for concern.
