Prayer updates for Tuesday, December 19, 2017

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

Update:  Please pray for safe travels for Alicia Vander Wal as she is returning home from The Gambia this week.    Please continue to pray for Alicia as her two-year commitment with the Peace Corps has been completed, but also as Alicia has decided to sign on for another year working with the The Peace Corps and the National Nutrition Agency of The Gambia.  Pray for God to bless Alicia with a great visit with family and friends for the time that she will be able to be in town and for the Lord to be with her as she prepares to continue her work in The Gambia in January.

We give thanks to God for answered prayers for the Gerritsma family as Bradley Gerritsma was released from DeVos Children’s Hospital on Sunday night. Bradley was admitted to the hospital last Wednesday after a bout of sickness to led him to become very dehydrated, fatigued, and experience some temporary losses in cognitive functioning.  We praise God that Bradley made great progress over the weekend and seems to be on the road to recovery.  Pray for God to be with Bradley and provide him the grace, strength, and help he needs to make a full recovery.

We praise the Lord for the birthday that Ruth Knap will celebrate on Saturday. We give thanks for the many years God has given to Ruth and we pray for God to be with her a she celebrates her birthday this week.

Please pray for Lena Hanegraaff as the resent episode with her heart showed that Lena’s health is declining and it also seems to have progressed her memory troubles. Lena will likely be moving to a memory care unit in the couple of weeks. Pray for God to give wisdom to the family as they try to find the best way to care for Lena. Pray also for the Lord to grant Lena daily strength in her time of need.

Please be in prayer for all those at Noordeloos Church who mourn the loss of loved ones during the Holiday Season, or who struggle with seasonal depression at this time of year. Pray for God to comfort them and to remind them of the abiding presence and love of their Savior, Jesus Christ.
