Prayer updates for Thursday, February 22, 2018

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

We express our Christian Sympathies to John and Gail Helm in the passing of John’s younger sister, Martha Redding, who passed away last week. Pray for the promises of Christ and the hope of eternal life to be a source of comfort and strength to John and his family in this difficult time of loss.

Update:  Please pray for Ruth Hulst, aunt of Lisa Scholtens and regular visitor at Noordeloos, as she was diagnosed on Tuesday with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.  Pray God’s comforting grace to be with Ruth and her husband, Ron, as they process this difficult diagnosis and explore treatment options.

Update:  We praise the Lord for the news that Ade Molendyk will be released from Zeeland Hospital.  Pray for God’s healing grace to be upon Ade as he remains very tired and weak from the pneumonia and his stay in the hospital.  Pray God’s loving presence to sustain Ade in this difficult time of health struggles.

We express our Christian Sympathies to Rose Swets in the passing of her husband, Ken Swets, who went home to be with the Lord last week. Ken and Rose are members of Noordeloos Church who moved to Texas a number of years ago, and who have maintained several close ties to Noordeloos over the years. Pray for the Lord’s loving presence to comfort Rose and the Swets family in this sad time of loss. If you would like to express your sympathies to Rose by sending a card, please contact the church office for the mailing address.

Please pray for Tim and Ginny Spahr as they traveled to Ethiopia on Saturday for a two-week trip to meet their adopted daughter for the first time and to fulfill some of the requirements of the adoption process. Pray for God to grant safety to Tim and Ginny as they travel. Pray especially for God to help the Spahrs and their daughter to bond with each other and for God to be with them as they prepare for her to make the transition to their family and home in the next couple of months.

Please pray for God to guide and protect our Military personnel as they serve our country and give of themselves to protect our freedom. Pray especially for God to be with the members of our congregation who are serving our country. Pray for Lee Nagelkerk as serves with the U.S. Marines and is currently on deployment in Japan. Pray for Josh Scholtens as he serves with the U.S. Navy. Pray for Meredith Visser as she serves with the U.S. Army Reserve. Pray also for Ben Vander Wal as he is nearing the end of boot camp in preparation for service with the U.S. Navy.

Please pray for Michael Pueler, brother of Karen Nowak, as he was diagnosed with agent orange leukemia. Pray for God to be with Michael as he awaits further tests results that will show the extent of the cancer and the treatment options available to him.
