Prayer updates for Friday, March 9, 2018

Announcement:  Please remember to set your clocks forward on Saturday night for Daylight Saving Time this weekend.

Announcement:  Please note that there will be a Church Potluck this Sunday, March 11.  Bring a dish or two to pass and join us for a great time of fellowship!

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

Update: We praise the Lord for the successful heart valve surgery that Mark Weir, Gus and Jan Vander Veen’s son-in-law, endured on Wednesday. Pray for the Lord’s loving presence to be a comfort and strength for Mark in this time of need and for God to grant Mark a speedy and complete recovery.

We express our Christian Sympathies to the Weener, Van Ommen, and Smeyersfamilies in the passing of Austin Schrotenboer, who went home to be with the Lord last week. Austin is a brother-in-law to Cal Weener and Mary Van Ommen and the grandfather of Laura Smeyers. Pray for God to comfort the families in this sad time of loss.

We praise the Lord for the birthday that Marge Barendse celebrated on Monday. We give thanks for the many wonderful years that God has blessed Marge with and we pray for good health and joy in the coming year.

We praise the Lord for the 50th wedding anniversary that Don and Kathy Boersen celebrated on Wednesday. We give thanks for the many years of marriage God has given to Don and Kathy and we pray for the Lord to bless them with many more good years to come.

We give thanks that Ben Vander Wal has completed his Navy Bootcamp Training last week. Please pray for Ben as he continues on to his A-School in Texas for 20 weeks. May God give Ben the endurance, focus, and good health he needs as he completes this next level of training.

We give thanks that the SERVE Team has returned from their week in Manning, SC. We pray for God’s blessing on the work that was completed and the relationships that were built. We pray too for God to restore the health of those team members that experienced illness while they were away.
