Prayer updates for Monday, April 23, 2018

Please keep these pray requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

We express our Christian Sympathies to Harv and Lisa Scholtens in the passing of two family members this week.  Lisa’s brother-in-law, Ed Miller, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 17,  after a long battle with brain cancer.  Lisa’s aunt, Joyce Fett, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 18.  Please pray for God to surround Harv, Lisa, and their family in this difficult time of loss and for the Lord to comfort them with the hope of eternal life.  A funeral service for Joyce Fett will be held at 11 am today at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Grand Haven.

We praise the Lord for wedding of Curt and Emilee Morren as they joined their lives in marriage on Friday, April 20. Pray for the Lord to bless Curt and Emilee begin their life together as husband and wife.

We praise the Lord for the successful back surgery Larry De Groot endured last week.  Pray for God’s healing grace to be with Larry over the next couple of months as his body continues to heal and recover.  Pray for God to grant him the daily grace and strength he needs to make a full recovery and be pain free.

Please pray for Fred Zeeff as he has been experiencing significant facial pain, which they believe is being caused by a painful nerve condition called trigeminal neuralgia. Pray for God to provide Fred with relief from the pain as Fred and Edna wait for more answers and direction.

Please pray for God to guide and protect our Military Personnel as they serve our country and give of themselves to protect our freedom. Pray especially for God to be with the members of our congregation who are serving our country.  Please pray for Lee Nagelkerk as serves with the U.S. Marines and is currently on deployment in Japan, for Josh Scholtens as he serves with the U.S. Navy, for Ben Vander Wal as he is in training with the U.S. Navy, and for Meredith Visser as she serves with the U.S. Army Reserve.
