Prayer updates for Friday, April 27, 2018

Update:  Please pray for Tim and Ginny Spahr as they leave today for Ethiopia to finalize the adoption of their daughter, Kalkidan. Pray for God to grant them good health and safe traveling mercies as they will be in Ethiopia for a little over a week. Pray for God to be with the Spahr family in this exciting time and pray for a smooth transition for Kalkidan as she comes home to her forever family.

Please pray for Steve and Kim Holtrop and their children, our supported missionaries in Nicaragua, as the country is in the midst of a time of unrest.  The Holtrops are thankful for the prayers and reported on Wednesday that the situation seems to be relatively calm again.  Please continue to pray for the Nicaraguan families who are mourning the loss of loved ones who died during the protests.  Pray also for God to bring peace to the conflicts in Nicaragua and guide the country in finding peaceful resolutions.

We praise the Lord for wedding of Curt and Emilee Morren as they joined their lives in marriage on Friday, April 20. Pray for the Lord to bless Curt and Emilee as they begin their life together as husband and wife.

Please pray for God to guide and protect our Military Personnel as they serve our country and give of themselves to protect our freedom. Pray especially for God to be with the members of our congregation who are serving our country.  Please pray for Lee Nagelkerk as serves with the U.S. Marines and is currently on deployment in Japan, for Josh Scholtens as he serves with the U.S. Navy, for Ben Vander Wal as he is in training with the U.S. Navy, and for Meredith Visser as she serves with the U.S. Army Reserve.
