Prayer updates for Monday, February 9, 2015

Please keep these pray requests in mind as you come before God inn prayer today.

We praise the Lord for the 51 years of marriage that Wayne and Marilyn Breuker will celebrate on Saturday. We give thanks to God for his faithfulness to Wayne and Marilyn over the years and we pray for God to bless them on their special day.

Please pray for those members in our congregation that are battling breast cancer—Kim Hossink, Nancy Weener, and Christie Mellema. Pray for God to give them strength as they endure radiation and chemo treatments and pray especially that their treatments will work to eliminate the cancer.

Please pray for the members of our church who are currently serving in the military. Pray for God to be with Lee Nagelkerk as he is serves with the U.S. Marines and Josh Scholtens as he serves with the U.S. Navy. Pray also for God to be with the Nagelkerk and Scholtens families and for them to have regular communications Lee and Josh.

Please pray for the Educational Programs at Noordeloos Church as they have reached mid-year. Pray for God to encourage our teachers as they serve, our students as they learn, and our church as we minister to one another in the name of Jesus. Pray for God to bless the remainder of our educational year so that our love for God may increase.

Prayer updates for Wednesday, February 4, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

Update: Please join the Zeeland community in praying for the Kroll Family as they mourn the loss of Zachary Kroll who passed away at age 15.  Zachary was a sophomore at Zeeland West and was a member at Haven CRC.  Pray for God to provide a peace that transcends all understanding to all of Zachary’s friends and to the Kroll family in their time of grief.

We praise the Lord for the 80th birthday that Dutch Meinema celebrated on Tuesday and the 86th birthday that Carolyn Van Hill will celebrate on Saturday. We give thanks for the many years that God has blessed Dutch and Carolyn with and pray for God to bless them with a wonderful celebration on their birthdays.

We praise the Lord for the 50th wedding anniversary that Wayne and Lois Boerigter will celebrate on Thursday. We praise God for this milestone anniversary and we pray for God to bless Wayne and Lois with many more wonderful years.

We praise the Lord for the 90th birthday that Bob Vande Zande celebrated on Tuesday and for the 87th birthday that Ken Knap celebrates today. We praise the Lord for the birthdays that God has given to Bob and to Ken and pray for God to bless them with friends and family.

Please pray for Karl Tubergan as he continues to recover from an episode that he had with his heart and defibrillator that made him very weak. We praise the Lord that he appears to be getting stronger. Pray for God to give Karl the grace he needs to make a full recovery.

Please pray for Nancy Weener as she recovers from the radiation treatment she had last week for her breast cancer. Pray for God to grant Nancy with strength and for the radiation to work to eliminate her cancer.

Please pray for Jim and Doris Gaunce as Jim has been transferred from Tendercare in Holland to his daughter’s house where he will get around the clock attention and care. Pray for God to relieve Jim’s pain and for God’s peace and presence to be with Jim and Doris in this difficult time.

We praise the Lord for the 89th birthday that Ward Van Dyke celebrated on Sunday. We praise the Lord for the days he has given to Ward and pray for God to bless Ward with friends and family.

Please pray for Karl Tubergan as he continues to recover from an episode that he had with his heart and defibrillator that made him very weak. We praise the Lord that he appears to be getting stronger and is again eating. Pray for God to give Karl the grace he needs to make a full recovery.

We praise the Lord for the good report that Austin Steenwyk received from the doctors that he does not have ACL and/or meniscus damage in his knee and will not need surgery. What a mighty God we serve! We give our praise and thanksgiving to the Lord for this good report and continue to pray for Austin to make a full recovery.

Please pray for the Morlock Family who live a few houses west of Noordeloos church as their house burned down. Pray for God to give comfort to them in this terrible time of loss and for friends and family to support them with love. In the midst of our grief we praise the Lord that nobody was hurt in the fire!

On Sunday we gather for worship again. Rev. John Vander Roest will be leading us in worship in the morning service and will preach a sermon titled “Do NOT Let Your Conscience Be Your Guide”. His text of focus is I Corinthians 8:1-13. In the evening service we will continue in our study in the Gospel of Mark and Pastor Jonathan will preach a sermon titled “The Beginning of Jesus’s Public Ministry” and his text of focus is Mark 1:14-20. We also will be having Living Hope Singers from Holland Christian with us in worship as our special music. As we prepare to gather for worship pray that God will work in our hearts and lives so that we can be changed to be more like Christ.

Update: Please pray for Rena Petroelje as she continues to recover from a bad case of the flu. We give thanks that she seems to be improving from her sickness with the help of the extra medical care and we pray for God’s presence to comfort and strengthen Rena in this time of need.
