Prayer updates for Monday, April 27, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

We express our Christian Sympathies to Doris Gaunce as she mourns the loss of her husband, Jim Gaunce, who went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23. Pray for God’s comforting grace to be with Doris and her family in this sad time of loss. A memorial service for Jim will be held at Noordeloos CRC on Tuesday, May 12. More details are yet to come.

We praise the Lord for the news that Len Ericks has been released from the hospital and has moved to Rest Haven to recover from the neck surgery that he had. Pray for God’s healing touch to be with Len so that he can make a speedy recovery and return home soon.

Please pray for Gerrit Kortman as he will endure a stress test today in order to test the strength of his heart and to determine if he needs a stint to open up a blockage. Pray for the test to go well and for Gerrit to get some clear answers today.

Please pray for Stacy Van Klompenberg as she will continue to receive injections in her ear in hopes of recovering the hearing that was lost as a result of a sinus infection. Pray for God’s grace and peace to be with Stacy in this time of need.

Prayer updates for Friday, April 24, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

We praise the Lord for the 58th wedding anniversary that Bob and Gladys Heyboer will celebrate on Saturday. We give thanks to the Lord for blessing Bob and Gladys with many years of love and faithfulness and pray for Bob and Gladys to enjoy their time with friends and family as they celebrate together.

We praise the Lord for the good report that Kaylee Kouw received that showed no new growths at the tumor site. We give thanks for God’s continued presence with Kaylee and the Kouw family. Pray for Kaylee’s continued good health and for the tumor to remain stable.

Update: We praise the Lord for the news that Len Ericks has been released from the hospital and has moved to Rest Haven to recover from the neck surgery that he had. Pray for God’s healing touch to be with Len so that he can make a speedy recovery and return home soon.

Please pray for Stacy Van Klompenberg as the hearing test she endured last Friday showed only a slight improvement. Pray for God to be with Stacy as she will continue to receive injections in her ear in hopes of recovering the hearing that was lost as a result of a sinus infection. Pray for God’s grace and peace to strength and sustain Stacy in this time of need.

Please pray for safe travels for the Snowbirds who will be returning to Michigan over the next few weeks. Pray for God to bless them with a smooth transition as they settle in at home.

Please pray for Val Avink as she will be traveling home this week for a four week visit. Pray for her time at home of reconnecting with family and friends to be an encouragement to her.

Please pray for the Shut-ins at Noordeloos Church as they desire to participate in the fellowship of the church but are limited by mobility and health concerns.  Pray for God to provide them with good health and regular visits from family and friends.

Update: Please pray for Len Ericks as he remains at Holland Hospital recovering from the neck surgery he endured last Friday.  We praise the Lord for a successful surgery, but pray for Len as he is experiencing some difficulties with a swollen esophagus which will prolong his stay in the hospital. Pray for God’s healing touch to be with Len so that he can make a speedy recovery.

We praise the Lord for the 66 years of marriage that Herk and Flora Mae Kapenga celebrated on Tuesday. We give thanks for the many wonderful years that they have shared together and we pray for God’s blessing to be upon them in the years to come.

Please pray for Stacy Van Klompenberg as she has been diagnosed with sudden hearing loss in her right ear, which was caused by a sinus infection.  Pray for Stacy as she recovers from a steroid injection that she received in her ear and waits for a hearing test on April 17 to see if the injection worked to improve her hearing.

Please pray for Len Ericks as he endures neck surgery on Friday. Pray for God’s presence to comfort Len as he prepares for surgery this week and for the surgery to go as planned so that Len can make a speedy recovery.

Please pray for Kaylee Kouw as she endured a routine MRI last week and as she waits for the results. Pray for God’s peace to be with Kaylee and the Kouw family this week and for the MRI results to show no new growths.

Please pray for all of our Students and Teachers as they return from Spring Break and as the end of the school year draws near. Pray for God to give them the stamina and encouragement they need to complete the school year well.

We praise the Lord for the 88th birthday that John Groenewoud celebrated on Tuesday. We give thanks for the many years that God has given to John and we pray for God’s blessing to be on John this week.

We praise the Lord for 62 years of marriage that Ken and Ruth Knap will celebrate on Thursday. We give thanks for the love that Ken and Ruth share and we pray for God to bless them with many more good years to come.

We praise the Lord for the successful surgery that Hannah Mokma endured last week Tuesday to remove a non-cancerous mass from her arm. Pray for Kevin and Sarah as they care for Hannah and for Hannah to make a speedy recovery. Pray also for good results from the pathology report.

Update: Please pray for Kaylee Kouw as she endured a 6th month MRI check-up this morning.  Pray God’s grace to be with Kaylee and the Kouw family and for the results of the MRI to show no new growth at the tumor site in her brain.

We praise the Lord for the news that Ken Machiela came home from Spectrum Hospital over the weekend. Please pray for Ken as he recovers from his heart attack and from the procedures that he endured this week. Pray for the blood clots in Ken’s leg and lungs to dissolve so that Ken can make a full recovery and for God’s presence to strengthen and sustain Ken and Sharon in their time of need.

Please pray for those who will be on Spring Break this week. Pray for God to grant safe traveling mercies and for Spring Break to be a great time of relaxation with family and friends as well as a time of spiritual renewal.

Prayer updates for Thursday, April 2, 2015

We express our Christian Sympathies to Barb Nagelkerk and Groenhout family as they mourn the loss of Barb’s nephew, Tim Groenhout, who went missing in January and whose body was found over the weekend. Pray for God’s comforting grace to be with the Nagelkerk and Groenhout families in this sad time of loss.

Update: We praise the Lord for the news that Ken Machiela is doing well after enduring a surgery to insert a filter in his heart to prevent further blood clots from entering his lungs. Pray for God’s healing touch to be upon Ken as he recovers from the heart attack and the surgeries that he has endured and for the blood clots to leg and lungs to dissolve.

We express our Christian Sympathies to Gary and Carolyn Van Hill as they mourn the loss Gary’s brother, Richard Van Hill, who passed away on Monday, March 23. Pray for God’s grace to comfort the Van Hill family in this sad time of loss.

We celebrate with Pastor Matt and Tracey Riddle in the birth of a healthy baby boy, Gavin John Riddle (9.2 lbs and 22 inches long), born on Thursday, March 26. We give thanks to God for a safe delivery and a healthy baby and pray for God to be with the Riddle family in this joyous time.

We praise the Lord for the 53rd anniversary that Ken and Sharon Machiela will celebrate on Friday. We give thanks for the love that Ken and Sharon share and for God’s faithfulness to them over the years. Pray for God to bless them with joyful celebration this week.

We praise the Lord for the successful surgery that Hannah Mokma, daughter of Kevin and Sarah Mokma, endured on Tuesday to remove a non-cancerous mass from her arm. Pray for God to be with Hannah so that she can make a speedy recovery.

Pray for God to prepare our hearts for Holy Week as we journey nearer to the cross and anticipate the resurrection on Easter Sunday. May we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith.
