Prayer updates for Monday, May 9, 2016

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

Update:  We express our Christian Sympathies to the Vande Zande Family in the passing of Bob Vande Zande, who went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 7, 2016. Pray for God to comfort the family with the hope that is found in Christ in this sad time of loss. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (4145 Chicago Drive, Grandville). Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the funeral home and from 10-11 am on Thursday prior to the funeral service.

We praise the Lord for the 82nd birthday that Bob Heyboer celebrates today and for the 80th birthday that Agnes Vanden Bosch will celebrate on Saturday. We thank the Lord for his provision over the years and we pray for God to bless both Bob and Agnes with special days filled with friends and family.

We praise God that Kathryn Zeinstra’s recovery is going well and that the tests after surgery provided great news. All the cancer was removed and no additional preventative measures are needed at this time. Please continue to pray that healing continues and pain may be managed during the next weeks of recovery.

We praise the Lord that Steve and Karin Meeuwsen have received the exit letters they needed so now they can schedule their plane tickets and bring home their son, Abe! We celebrate this wonderful news with the Meeuwsen and Nienhuis families. In a matter of days Steve and Karin and Kate will be united as a family of four.

Please pray for Revival to happen in churches around America as we gathered for prayer last Thursday for National Day of Prayer. May the Holy Spirit enliven us and give us unity as we fulfill the mission of Christ to love our neighbors and make disciples of all people.
