Prayer updates for Monday, March 9, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

We praise the Lord for the successful surgery that Stacy Van Klompenberg endured last Tuesday to remove some non-cancerous cysts that she had. Pray for God to be with Stacy so that she can make a full recovery.

Update: Please pray for Ade Molendyk as he receives his monthly IVIG infusion this morning. Pray for God to give Ade strength and rest this week as recovers from the infusion. Pray for God’s presence to be a continual comfort to Ade, Bea, and the entire Molendyk family.

Please pray for Ken Machiela as he is at home continuing to struggle with pneumonia and pleurisy. Pray for God to give Ken the strength to endure the pain and for the pneumonia to clear up so that he can make a full recovery.

Please pray for Ken Hossink as he will endure a specialized back surgery in Arizona on Friday. Pray for God to grant safe travels to Ken and for the surgery to go as planned. Pray for God’s presence and peace to be with Ken as he undergoes surgery on Friday.

Please pray for Gerrit Kortman as he endures a procedure this morning to correct his atrial fibrillation. Pray for God’s peace to be with Gerrit and for the procedure to be effective in bring his heart back into rhythm.

Please pray for our Snowbirds as they begin to return home in the coming weeks and months. Pray for God to provide safety in their travels and for a smooth transition back to their home in Michigan.

Prayer updates for Thursday, March 5, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

We praise the Lord for the 85th birthday that Marge Barendse celebrates today. We give thanks to God for the many years that God has given to Marge and pray for God to bless her with a special day.

We praise the Lord for the safe return of the Noordeloos SERVE Team and for the opportunity they had to help those in need last week in Franklinton, LA. Pray for God to use this trip to draw the team members and those whom they served closer to Christ.

We praise the Lord for the news that Lee Nagelkerk has returned home safely after being deployed for seven months. We praise the Lord for reuniting Lee with his family and for the joy of being able to hold baby Charlotte for the first time!

Update: We praise the Lord for the news that Ken Machiela has returned home from the hospital where he was treated for pneumonia and pleurisy. Pray for God to be with Ken as he continues to recover from his sickness and for the antibiotics to be effective in clearing up the pneumonia so that he can make a full recovery.

Please pray for our College Students as they prepare for mid-term exams. Pray for God to renew their energy as they study and for God to give them a desire to learn. Most importantly pray for our students to remain firm in their faith and to make God honoring decisions as they follow Jesus.

We praise the Lord for the news that the surgery Stacy Van Klompenberg endured on Tuesday went well and that she is back home. We give thanks for the good news that the cysts do not appear to be cancerous. Pray for God to be with Stacy so that she can make a speedy and complete recovery.

Please pray for all the Expectant Mothers in our church. Pray for God to grant strength to the mothers in their pregnancy and for a safe delivery when the time comes. Pray also for the healthy development of their babies throughout their pregnancy. We give thanks for the marvelous truth in God’s word that teaches that God knows each of these little ones by name!

We praise the Lord for the 56th wedding anniversary that John and Arlene Kortman celebrate today. We give thanks for the love that they share and pray for God to bless them as they celebrate that love this week.

Please pray for Jeff Kooiker as he recovers from the surgery that he had on his foot last week.  We praise the Lord that the surgery went as planned and pray for Jeff to make a speedy and complete recovery.

Please pray for Jim Gaunce as he continues to struggle with the effects of his bladder cancer and as his body continues to weaken. Pray for God to be with Jim in his time of need and for the presence of Christ to daily comfort and sustain Jim and Doris in this difficult time.

Update: Please pray for the Noordeloos SERVE Team as they finish off their work in Franklinton, LA this week. Pray for God to use this week of service to draw the team members, and the people they we able to help, closer to Christ Pray for God to grant safe traveling mercies as the team members make their way home this weekend.
