Prayer Updates for Wednesday, August 3

The Noordeloos CRC Council is seeking input from our congregation regarding a possible new staff position.  You are invited to prayerfully consider the questions by following the link below. If you have questions or would like to give additional input, please contact a member of the personnel committee (Steve Gerritsma, Earl VanKompenburg, Gord Steenwyk, or Brian Bottorff) or any other member of council. Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

Update: Please pray for Fred Beach as he left on a mission trip to Guatelmala today. He will be leading a team of 12 people and will be gone Aug. 3-12.  Please pray for safe travels and for God to work through the team as they build relationships and work with the children and families in Guatemala. If you are interested in following their travels you may “like” the Reachout Ministries page on facebook for updates throughout the week.

Update: Please pray for Ruth Beach as she is suffering from a kidney stone. After consulting the doctor it was decided that she would stay home from the mission trip to Guatelmala. Please pray for her pain to subside and for her condition to remain stable until Fred returns.

We praise the Lord for the successful surgery that Brenda Molendyk endured on Monday to remove a growth on her skull. We thank the Lord that the tests came back negative – the growth was benign!  Please pray for Brenda to make a full recovery from this surgery.

We praise the Lord for the birthday that Shirley De Vries will celebrate today and the birthday that Gord Vork will celebrate on Friday. Pray for the joy of the Lord to be upon Shirley and Gord as they celebrate their birthdays this week.

We praise the Lord for another great year of Vacation Bible School. We praise the Lord for the many volunteers and many children who participated in VBS this year. Pray for God to continue to grow the seeds of faith that were planted in the hearts of the children this week so that they will come to know the saving love of Jesus.

Please pray for Kim Zeinstra as she will be departing on August 11 for a one-year service of missions and outreach with CTI Music Ministries. Pray for God to be with Kim and provide for her needs as she travels and as she uses her gifts to tell other about Christ. Pray for God to bless the work of CTI and the teams Kim will be working with so that many will come know of God’s grace in Christ.

Please pray for our members who will be attending the Church Campout this week at Tri-Ponds. Pray for God to grant safety to all the campers and for the campout to be a time of good Christian fellowship.

Please pray for our 4th-7th graders who will be attending South Olive’s Bible Camp that will begin on Saturday (August 6-13). Pray for our students to grow in their knowledge and love for Christ through their time at camp this year. Please keep in prayer the Bible Camp students from our church:

Update: We praise the Lord for the successful surgery that Brenda Molendyk endured yesterday to remove a growth on her skull. We thank the Lord that the tests came back negative – the growth was benign!  Please pray for Brenda to make a full recovery from this surgery.

Update: Please pray for Brenda Molendyk as she endures a surgery this afternoon to remove a growth on her skull. Pray for God’s peace to be with Brenda today and for the surgery to go as planned so that she can make a speedy recovery.

Update: Please pray for Ade Molendyk as he endured his monthly IVIG infusion this morning for his immune system. Pray for God to be with Ade this week and for the infusion to be effective in keeping Ade healthy.

We praise the Lord for the safe arrival of Kevin and Sarah Mokma and their children as they returned from Haiti last Friday for a month-long visit. Pray for God to be with the Mokmas as they transition back to Michigan and for their time at home to spiritually, physically, and emotionally recharging.

We praise the Lord for the successful surgery that Ken Hossink endured last Wednesday to clear the blockage in Ken’s heart. We praise God for the news that the doctors were finally able to clear the blockage and were able to insert a stint. Pray for God’s healing grace to be with Ken so that he can make a full recovery.

Update: We express our Christian Sympathies to Tony and Hazel Kiekintveld in the passing of Hazel’s sister-in-law, Marcia Wierda, who went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning. Pray for God to grace the Weirda Family and the Kiekintvelds with his peace and comfort in this sad time of loss. A time of visitation will be today (Tuesday, July 19) from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the VanderLaan Funeral Home in Hudsonville. A memorial service will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday, July 20, at Bauer CRC.

Prayer updates for Thursday, July 14,2016

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

UpdateWe express our Christian Sympathies to Wayne and Marilyn Breuker in the passing of Wayne’s sister-in-law, Pearl Breuker, who went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 13. Pray for God to be with the Breuker family in this sad time of loss and for the peace of Christ to be their comfort and strength as the family prepares for the funeral service. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Yntema Funeral Home in Zeeland. The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at South Olive Christian Reformed Church.

We express our Christian Sympathies to Bob and Gladys Heyboer in the passing of Gladys’ sister-in-law, Beatrice Sall, who went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 5. Pray for the God to be the Gladys and her family and for the hope of eternal life to give them peace and comfort in this sad time of loss.

We praise the Lord for the birthday that Lena Hanegraaff will celebrate on Friday and for the birthday that Louise Ortman will celebrate on Saturday. We give thanks for the many good years God has to Lena and to Louise and we pray for the God to remind them of his love for them as they celebrate their birthdays this week.

We praise the Lord for hearing our prayer and sending Rain for our Crops on Monday. Pray for God to continue to send rain this week so that the crops have sufficient water and we can enjoy a bountiful harvest. Pray also for God to grant our Farmers with peace in their time of waiting for the Lord’s provision.

Please pray for the Shut-ins at Noordeloos Church. Pray for God to grace them with His Spirit and keep them connected to the Noordeloos community. Pray for their minds and bodies to stay healthy and for family and friends to bless them with regular visits.
