Prayer updates for Tuesday, June 2, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

Update:  We express our Christian Sympathies to the De Mol family as they mourn the loss of Dick De Mol, who went home to be with the Lord yesterday after suffering a heart-attack.  Pray for God’s presence to be with Dick’s family and friends in this sad time of loss and for hope of Christ to strength and sustain them this week.  Funeral and visitation arrangements are yet to be determined.

We praise the Lord for the successful rotator cuff surgery that Dave Nagelkerkendured last Thursday. Pray for the pain and discomfort to subside quickly and for God to be with Dave and give him patience during the lengthy recovery from the surgery.

Please pray for Herk Kapenga as the platelet levels in his blood have declining over recent months to the point where he is left feeling very weak. Pray God to be with Herk and Flora Mae as they meet with doctors to determine treatment options that will increase Herk’s platelet levels and for God to provide daily strength for Herk in this time of need.

Please pray for Kevin and Sarah Mokma and their family as they will be departing on Thursday to begin their work at Children of the Promise Orphanage in Haiti. Pray for God to grant the Mokma family with safe traveling mercies and for God’s peace to be with them in their time of transition.

Update:  Please pray for Kim Zeinstra as she departed on Sunday for a short-term mission trip to Taiwan with CTI Music Ministries. We praise the Lord for Kim’s safe arrival in Minnesota, where her team will train for two week before heading to Taiwan.  Pray for safe travels, good health, and for God to work through Kim and her music ministry team in Taiwan as they share the message of Christ through testimony and song.

Please pray for Joe Nordyke as he remains at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Center for physical therapy to recover from his stroke. Pray for God to grace Joe with patience as he endures physical therapy and for the therapy to help Joe regain control of his right leg.

Please pray for Ward Van Dyke as he remains Zeeland hospital after being diagnosed with sepsis, an infection in the blood.  Pray for God to grace Ward with strength and for the medications to clear up the infection so that Ward can make a full recovery.

Please pray for Don Brower as he was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. Pray for God to be with Don and Fran and for the grace of Christ to comfort and sustain them in this difficult time of need.

Prayer updates for Monday, June 1, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

Prayer updates for Thursday, May 28, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

Update: Please pray for Joe Nordyke as his rehabilitation plan changed yesterday and as he will be released from the hospital today to be transferred to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital for physical therapy. Pray for God to be with Joe as he endures physical therapy and for the therapy to be effective in helping to regain control of his right leg.

Update: We praise the Lord for the news Val Avink safely returned to Haiti yesterday. Pray for God to be with Val as she transitions back to life in Haiti and as she continues the work that the Lord has called her to do at Children of the Promise Orphanage.

Update:  We praise the Lord for the news that Ade Molendyk was released from the hospital last night after being admitted on Monday with a case of pneumonia. We praise God for the progress that Ade has made and we pray for God to continue to be with Ade so that he can make a full recovery.

We praise the Lord for the 88th birthday that Elmer Van Der Kolk celebrated on Monday. We give thanks for the many years that God has given to Elmer and we pray for God to bless Elmer this year and in the years to come.

We thank God for our Veterans who have served and sacrificed for our country and pray for God’s protection to be with those among us who are currently serving in the military. Pray for God to be with Lee Nagelkerk as he is serves with the U.S. Marines and Josh Scholtens as he serves with the U.S. Navy.

Update: We praise the Lord for the news that Joe Nordyke will be released from the hospital today and will be transferred to Tendercare for a time of rehabilitation after suffering a stroke on Saturday. Pray for God to be with Joe as he endures physical therapy and for the therapy to be effective in helping to regain control of his right leg.

Please pray for Ade Molendyk as he was admitted to Zeeland Hospital on Monday with double pneumonia. Pray for God to grant healing to Ade’s body and for the medications to clear the pneumonia so that Ade can make a full recovery. Pray for God’s presence to be source of strength to Ade, Bea, and the Molendyk family as Ade recovers in the hospital.

Update: Please pray for Joe Nordyke as he suffered a stroke on Saturday afternoon and was admitted to Zeeland Hospital. We praise God for preserving Joe’s life but we pray for his recovery as he has lost feeling in his right leg. Pray for God to be with Joe as he will begin physical therapy to strengthen his leg and pray for Joe’s faith in Christ to sustain him in this difficult time of need.

We praise the Lord for successful surgery that Gerrit Kortman endured last Wednesday to have two stints inserted into his heart. Pray for God to be with Gerrit as he recovers and for the procedure to be effective to strengthen Gerrit’s heart.

Please pray for Gene Sal, brother of Lorraine Mokma, as he was recently diagnosed with ALS. Pray for the peace of God to be with Gene in this difficult time and for his faith in Christ to strengthen and sustain him in his time of need.

Update: Please pray for Steve and Tanya Tiesenga, our international supported missionaries in Uganda, as they had another setback in their adoption process that will mean another two-month delay in their plans to travel back to the U.S. this summer. Pray for God’s hand to be on the adoption process so that there will be no further delays and for God to provide strength and enduring faith to the Tiesenga family in this time of need.

Please pray for Kevin and Sarah Mokma and their family as they prepare to transition in a couple weeks to begin their mission work at Children of the Promise Orphanage in Haiti. We give thanks to God for the work he has been doing in Kevin and Sarah’s life and we pray for God’s peace and presence to be with them in this exciting time.

Please pray for our international supported missionaries, Steve and Kim Holtrop, as they continue their work at the Nehemiah Center in Nicaragua. We praise the Lord for the time that we had to visit with them on Sunday and we pray that their time in the U.S will recharge them for the next season of ministry in Nicaragua.

We praise the Lord for the news that Len Ericks was released from the hospital and has returned to Rest Haven. Pray for God to be with Len as he continues to recover from the neck surgery he had and for God to grant him good health so that he can make a full recovery.

Please pray for Doris Gaunce as she mourns the loss of her husband, Jim Gaunce. Pray for the comforting presence of Christ to strengthen and sustain Doris in the days and weeks to come in this sad time of loss.

Update: We praise the Lord for the news that Gerrit Kortman is doing well after enduring a procedure on Wednesday to insert two stints into his heart. We give thanks that Gerrit will be returning home this morning. Pray for God to bless Gerrit with a speedy recovery.

Please pray for Jen Den Bleyker as she slipped and fell over the weekend and fractured three ribs. Pray God’s healing touch to be upon Jen as she recovers from the injuries she sustained and for the pain to subside quickly so that Jen can make a speedy recovery.
