Prayer updates for Thursday, December 15, 2016

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

We praise the Lord for the birthday that Em Weener celebrates today. We give thanks for the many years God has given to Em and we pray for God to be with Em and grant her good health in the year to come.

Update: Please pray for Cal Van Ommen as he was admitted to the Meijer Heart Center on Wednesday so that the doctors can better monitor his heart. Pray for God to be with Cal as he is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday to replace the damaged heart valve. Pray for the peace of Christ to be with Cal and Mary in this time of need and for the surgery to go as planned on Tuesday.

Please pray for our members who are Homebound, either in their own homes or who reside in a nursing home. Pray for God to bless them this holiday season with visits from friends and family, and for God to bless them with the joy of Christ as we move toward Christmas.

Please be in prayer for all those at Noordeloos Church who are Grieving the loss of loved ones during the holiday season, or who struggle with seasonal Depression at this time of year. Pray for God to comfort them and to remind them of the abiding presence and love of their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Please pray for all our Students at Noordeloos CRC who will be preparing for exams over the next couple of weeks. Pray for God to grant them the energy they need to study for their exams. Pray also for their upcoming Christmas break to be a good time of reconnecting with family and friends.

Prayer updates for Wednesday, December 14, 2016

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

We praise the Lord for the birthday that Flora Mae Kapenga celebrated on  Monday. We give thanks for the many years God has given to Flora Mae and we pray for the Lord to bless her with good health and joy in the year to come.

We praise the Lord for the news that heart catheterization Cal Van Ommen endured on Monday went well and that the test showed no significant blockages in his heart.  The test also confirmed that Cal’s main heart valve is worn out and will need to be repaired through heart surgery.  Pray for God to be with Cal as he endures further testing and pray for God’s peace to be with Cal and Mary as they wait for the surgery to be scheduled.

Please pray for Jordan Nienhuis, son to Todd and Dana Nienhuis, as he was diagnosed with Generalized Epilepsy. Pray for God to be with Jordan as he adjusts to the new medication and for it to be effective in stabilizing the seizures. Pray for God to grant peace and strength to Todd and Dana as they continue to monitor both Jordan and Cassie’s epilepsy and as they care for their family in this time of need.

Pray for God to be with Cal as he endures further testing and pray for God’s peace to be with Cal and Mary as they wait for the surgery to be scheduled.

 Update: Please pray for Cal Van Ommen as he has been struggling with heart issues and as he learned this week that he will need to endure a surgery to correct the problems with his heart.  Pray for God to be with Cal as he endures further testing and pray for God’s peace to be with Cal and Mary as they wait for the surgery to be scheduled.

We praise the Lord for the news that Steve and Kim Holtrop share that Hurricane Otto passed Nicaragua on Thanksgiving Day without significant incident. We praise the Lord also that the Tsunami alert was lifted as the tsunami did not form as expected. We praise God for his protection of the Holtrops and the people of Nicaragua.

Please pray for Cal Van Ommen as he has been struggling with shortness of breath related to his heart. Cal endured some medical exams and the doctor believes that Cal had a heart attack 2-3 weeks ago. Pray for God’s protection to be with Cal and for God to be with him as he endures further testing this week in hopes of finding more answers. Pray for the Lord to grant strength and peace to Cal and Mary in this time of need.

We praise the Lord for the news that Bernie Van Den Berg shares that his eye surgery from last Wednesday went well.  Pray for God to be with Bernie as he recovers and for the surgery to be successful in correcting the vision problems Bernie has been having in recent years.

Prayer updates for Thursday, November 24, 2016

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

Happy Thanksgiving!  Please pray for safe traveling mercies for those who are traveling this Thanksgiving Weekend.  Pray for Lord to remind us of his many provisions and mercies throughout our lives and pray for the Holy Spirit to cultivate in us an attitude of thanksgiving that will continue on throughout the year.

Prayer request from Steve and Kim Holtrop in Nicaragua:  Hurricane Otto is heading toward the east Coast of Nicaragua and Costa Rica.  None of our direct ministry partners of folks we work with are in the direct path as we are located more in the central and western part of Nicaragua.  The Government of Nicaragua has been doing a good job of mobilizing response teams and getting people out of harms way.  Pray that the rain be beneficial and not damaging.

Update:  Please pray for Cal Van Ommen as he has been struggling with shortness of breath related to troubles with his heart. Cal endured some medical exams this week and the doctor believes that Cal suffered a heart attacked 2-3 weeks ago. Pray for God’s protection to be with Cal and for God to be with him as he endures further testing next week in hopes of finding some more answers. Pray for the Lord to grant strength and peace to Cal and Mary inn this time of need.

We express our Christian Sympathies to the Vork Family in the passing of Gord Vork, who went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15. Pray for the promises of Christ and the hope of eternal life to be a comfort and strength to the Vork family in this sad time of loss.

We praise the Lord for the 61st wedding anniversary that Cal and Em Weener celebrated on Tuesday. Pray for God to be with Cal and Em as they celebrate their love and for pray for God to bless them with many more good years to come.

Please pray for Louise, sister of Ann Nagelkerk, as she is suffering from kidney failure and continues under Hospice care. Pray for God to be with Louise, Rich and Anne, and the rest of their family and for the love of Christ to be evident in this difficult time of need.
