Prayer updates for Tuesday, July 14, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

Update: We celebrate with Nate and Amy Pyle in the birth of a baby boy, Luke Robert Pyle, who was born early Monday morning (6.11 lbs, 20 inches long). We praise God for a safe delivery and for the news that both mom and baby are doing well. Pray for the joy of the Lord to be with Nate and Amy as they give thanks to God for the addition of baby Luke to their family.

We express our Christian Sympathies to Elmer Van Der Kolk in the passing of his brother, John Van Der Kolk, who went home to be with Lord on Sunday, July 5. Pray for the peace of Christ to be with Elmer and his family in this sad time of loss.

We praise the Lord for the 90th birthday that Lena Hanegraaff will celebrate on Wednesday and the 87th birthday that Louise Ortman will celebrate on Thursday. We praise the Lord for the many good years that God has given to Lena and Louise and we pray for God to bless them with many birthday wishes from family and friends on their special day.

We praise the Lord for the safe return of Kim Zeinstra from her mission trip to Taiwan with CTI Music Ministries. We give thanks to God for the opportunity that Kim had to share the love of Christ through music and we pray that many lives will have been touched for the Gospel through the work that Kim and her team were able to do in Taiwan.

We praise the Lord for the news that Ward Van Dyke has returned to Oak Crest Assisted Living after being the in the hospital and rehab for the past few weeks. We praise the Lord for the work of healing he has done in Ward’s life and for sustaining Ward through the difficulties of the past few weeks. Pray for God to be with Ward as he transitions back to his room at Oak Crest.

Please pray for Rena Petroelje as her health continues to decline and as it seems that she may be preparing to meet with the Lord. Pray for God’s grace and strength to be with Rena and her family in this time need. Please remember Ken and Sharon Machiela in prayer as well as Sharon’s sisters as they spend time with Rena in the time that Lord has given to Rena.  Pray for the love of Christ to guide and comfort them in the days ahead.

Please pray for Kim Hossink as she will endure one final treatment on Wednesday for her breast cancer. We praise the Lord for being with Kim and strengthening her through a long year of cancer treatments. Pray for the treatments to have been effective to rid Kim’s body of the cancer so that she can make a full recovery and remain cancer free.

Prayer updates for July 8, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

Update: We express our Christian Sympathies to Elmer Van Der Kolk in the passing of his brother, John Van Der Kolk, who went home to be with Lord on Sunday, July 5. Pray for the peace of Christ to be with Elmer and his family in this sad time of loss. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Forest Grove Christian Reformed Church, 3515 Perry St. Hudsonville, MI. A time of visitation will be held at Forest Grove CRC prior to the service from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday.

We celebrate with Steve and Tanya Tiesenga, our supported missionaries in Uganda, with the good news that their adoption process has been finalized. We praise God for the addition of Kate to the Tiesenga family. Please pray for the Tiesengas as they now wait for a visa so that they can come to the U.S. for the summer.

Update: Please pray for Kim Zeinstra and her music team as they departed Taiwan today and are traveling back to the U.S after a four-week mission trip. Pray for God to grant them safe traveling mercies as they make their way back to Minnesota for a time of debriefing and a final concert for family and friends. Pray also for God to bring to fruition the many seeds that were planted for Christ through Kim’s ministry in Taiwan.

Please pray for our 4th-11th graders who will be attending South Olive’s Bible Camp this week (July 5-12). Pray for our students to grow in their knowledge and love for Christ through their time at camp this year.  We also pray for our students who will be serving as counselors this week, may their love for Christ touch campers in a special way.

We praise the Lord for the 62nd Anniversary that Bernie and Yvonne Van Den Berg will celebrate on Tuesday. We give thanks for the love that Bernie and Yvonne share and for the many wonderful years God has given to them. Pray for God to bless the Van Den Bergs on their special day.

We celebrate with Steve and Tanya Tiesenga, our supported missionaries in Uganda, with the good news that their adoption process has been finalized. We praise God for the addition of Kate to the Tiesenga family. Please pray for the Tiesengas as they now wait for a visa so that they can come to the U.S. for the summer.

Please pray for the Elders meeting that will take place on Monday night. Pray for God to grant our Pastors and Elders the boldness to lead in love and truth so that God will be glorified in all that we do at Noordeloos Church.

Prayer updates for Wednesday, July 1, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

We praise the Lord for the safe return of the Young Peoples SERVE Team as they are now home after a week of service in Indianapolis. We pray for the experiences of this trip to have made a lasting impact on the students and their relationship with Christ.

Update: We praise the Lord for the news Junior Nyboer has returned home after being admitted to the hospital last week for an episode caused by his pulmonary disease. Pray for God to be with Junior as he continues the healing process at home and pray for daily strength so that Junior can make a full recovery.

Update: We celebrate with Steve and Tanya Tiesenga, our supported missionaries in Uganda, as they reported on Tuesday the good news that their adoption has been finalized. We praise God for the addition of Kate to the Tiesenga family. Please pray for the Tiesengas as they wait for a visa so that they can finally make the trip to the US for the summer.

Please pray for Kevin and Sarah Mokma and their children as they continue to transition to their new life as missionaries in Haiti and as they are making preparations to move into the Grace House at Children of the Promise Orphanage. Pray for God’s daily presence to be a strength and encouragement to the Mokmas in this time of transition.

Please pray for our 4th-7th graders who will be attending South Olive’s Bible Camp from July 5-11. Pray for our students to grow in their knowledge and love for Christ through their time at camp this year.

Prayer updates for Monday, June 27, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

We praise the Lord for the safe return of the Young Peoples SERVE Team as they are now home after a week of service in Indianapolis. We pray for the experiences of this trip to have made a lasting impact on the students and their relationship with Christ.

Update: Please pray for Junior Nyboer as he recovers from an episode caused by the pulmonary disease he has and for which Junior was admitted to the hospital last week. We praise the Lord for the news that Junior anticipates being discharged from the hospital this afternoon.  Pray for God to be with Junior as he returns home today and pray for daily strength so that Junior can make a full recovery.

Please pray for Kevin and Sarah Mokma and their children as they continue to transition to their new life as missionaries in Haiti and as they are making preparations to move into the Grace House at Children of the Promise Orphanage. Pray for God’s daily presence to be a strength and encouragement to the Mokmas in this time of transition.

We praise the Lord for the 84th  birthday that Yvonne Van Den Berg will celebrate on Tuesday and the 89th birthday that Harold Kapenga will celebrate on Friday. We praise the Lord for this time of celebration and pray for God to bless them with a special day.

We praise the Lord for the 51st wedding anniversary that Gus and Jan Vander Veen will celebrate on Friday. We give thanks to the Lord for the love that they share and we pray for God to bless them on their special day.

We praise the Lord for the news that Joe Nordyke has returned home after a time of rehab after his stroke. We give thanks to God that Joe is making daily improvements and is regaining the strength and use of his leg. Pray for God’s continued work of healing to be with Joe in this time of recovery.

We praise the Lord for the news that Cassie Nienhuis, daughter of Todd and Dana Nienhuis, is doing well and has returned home from the Devos Children’s Hospital. Pray for God to be with Cassie as she recovers and with Todd and Dana as they follow up with doctors in the coming months.

Please pray for the Young Peoples SERVE Trip to Indianapolis from June 21-26. Pray for safe travels and good health. Pray also for God to bless the work that they will be doing and to use this trip deepen the young peoples’ relationships with each other and with Christ.

Prayer updates for Friday, June 19, 2015

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today.

We praise the Lord for the 93rd birthday that Arie Versendaal celebrated on Thursday and the 83rd birthday that Arlene Slaugh will celebrate on Saturday. We pray for God to bless Arie and Arlene with joyful celebrations on each of their special days.

Update: We praise the Lord for the news that Joe Nordyke has returned home after a time of rehab after his stroke. Update: Please pray for Cassie Nienhuis, daughter of Todd and Dana Nienhuis, as she suffered a seizure on Wednesday night and was admitted to Devos Children’s Hospital for testing. We praise the Lord for the news that Cassie is doing well and that she might be able to come home today. Pray for God to be with Cassie as she recovers and with Todd and Dana as they follow up wit doctors in the coming months.

Prosper Road, Falmouth, MI 49632. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Prosper Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Dirk Koetje will be officiating.

We praise the Lord for the news that Nicole Van Klompenberg was released from the hospital on Monday. It was determined that a pacemaker was not needed at this time but that her heart condition would be treated by medication while her heart continues to be monitored by doctors. Pray for God to be with Nicole and for the medication to be effective in treating her abnormal heartbeat so that she has no further episodes.

We praise the Lord for the news that Ward Van Dyke is improving and that his infections have cleared up. Pray for Ward as he recovers at Providence Nursing Home from the blood transfusion that he received last week and as he continues to gain strength. Pray for the family as they care for Ward in this difficult time.

Please pray for Kim Zeinstra as her music team departed for Taiwan on Tuesday and as they will be starting their music ministry this week. Pray for safe travels and for good health as they spend the next four weeks of ministry in Taiwan. Pray for God to be with Kim and her team as they share the love of Christ through music and testimonies and for God to open hearts to receive Christ.

Please pray for Christopher Brown, grandson of Jeanne Quillen, as he endures basic training to prepare him to serve with the U.S. Navy. Pray for God’s to be with Christopher in his time of training and for Christopher to find daily strength through the promises of God in Christ.

Update:  We express our Christian Sympathies to Greg and Vonda Dreyer in the loss of Vonda’s brother, Gary Koster, who died unexpectedly in a farming accident on Tuesday night.  Pray for God to be with the Dreyers and their family in this difficult time of loss and for the hope of Christ to strengthen and sustain them in their time of need.
