Praises
Praise God for special birthdays this week for Arlene Kortman on Wednesday and Joyce Aardema on Saturday.
We give thanks to God for 55 years of marriage for John and Judie Vander Roest celebrated today.
Give thanks to God that Amy Price was able to return home from the hospital. The test results showed a viral infection that attacked her red blood cells. Pray that her body would continue to fight off the virus and that her hemoglobin levels would return to normalcy.
Praise God for a successful surgery for Brenda Molendyk this past Tuesday. Praise God for guiding the instruments and tools of the surgeon as well as giving the medical staff wisdom throughout the surgery. Pray for Brenda to have a full recovery with minimal pain and side effects.
Petitions
Pray for our students, teachers and staff members of our schools as they have started or will be starting their school year soon. Pray for God to bless the beginning of this education year. Pray for the safety of our loved ones this school year.
Pray for our college students as some of them are moving away for the very first time. Pray for God to bless this transition and new part of their life journey. Pray for God to surround them with friends who encourage and edify them in their faith. Pray for God to give them His peace to calm any fears or anxieties that they or their parents may have.

- Wayne Boerigter—Receiving chemo treatments every other week.
- Bob Bosman—being treated for stomach ulcers.
- Wayne Breuker—diagnosed with prostate cancer.
- Jen DenBleyker—skin cancer, waiting surgery in October.
- Larry DeGroot—back pain.
- Sheri Holstege, Jim & Jan Holstege’s daughter-in-law—receiving treatments for cancer.
- Stacy Van Klompenberg—diagnosed with gastritis, will have surgery October 20
- Mari Visser—awaiting surgery for a new pacemaker.
Prayers for the Persecuted Church: Yemen
- Pray for the Holy Spirit to empower believers to be courageous and bold in sharing their faith with others
- Pray for the God’s peace to be with the families of those who have loved ones in prison because of their faith in Jesus
- Pray for our brothers and sisters to receive God’s strength to continue to meet together for times of worship, prayer and fellowship
