Prayer updates for Thursday, April 27, 2017

Please keep these prayer requests in mind as you come before God in prayer today:

Update: Please pray for Ken Van Woerkom as he was admitted to Zeeland hospital and is being treated for an infection in the blood.  Pray for God to be with Ken and Arlene in this time of need and for the antibiotics to be effective in clearing up the infection so that Ken can make a speedy recovery.

UpdatePlease pray for Gus Vander Veen as he will endure a double-bypass and heart valve replacement surgery today in Waukesha, WI. Tests revealed that Gus did, in fact, suffer a heart attack and that he will need surgery to clear the blockages. Pray for God’s protection and healing grace to be with Gus and for the surgery to go as planned. Pray also for God’s presence to be a source of strength and peace for Gus, Jan, and their family in this time of need.

We express our Christian Sympathies to Rich and Ann Nagelkerk in the loss of Ann’s sister, Louise Catowho passed away early Tuesday morning. Pray for God to comfort Ann, Rich, and their family in this sad time of loss. Pray also for the love of the Christian community to surround the Nagelkerks in a special way as there will not be a formal funeral service or time for family visitation.

Please continue to pray for Leah Shafer, daughter of Bryan and Betsy Shafer, as she is fighting off a urinary infection on top of recovering from last weeks procedure to correct the urinary reflux. Pray for the antibiotics to be effective in clearing up the infection. Pray for God’s healing grace to be upon Leah and for God to be with Bryan and Betsy as they wait for follow-up appointments in the coming months to determine if the surgery has resolved the problem.

We praise the Lord for the 60th wedding anniversary that Bob and Gladys Heyboer celebrated on Tuesday. We give thanks for the love that Bob and Gladys share as they celebrate a 60 years of marriage. Pray for Bob and Gladys to be filled with gratitude and joy as they celebrate this week and we pray for God to bless them with many more good years to come.

We praise the Lord for the successful knee surgery Michelle Schrotenboer endured last week. Pray for God to be with Michelle as she begins the recovery process and for God’s healing grace to be on her so that she can make a complete recovery.

Please pray for the members at Noordeloos Church who are Homebound or who reside in Nursing Homes as they desire to participate in the fellowship of the church but are limited by mobility and health concerns. Pray for God to provide them with good health and regular visits from family and friends.
